The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District (LENRD), headquartered in Norfolk, NE, is seeking a Water Resources Manager.  This is a full-time, salaried position with an attractive benefits package.

This individual will be responsible for the administration of the Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District Groundwater Management Plan, Voluntary Integrated Management Plan, Drought Management Plan, Water Quality Management Plan, and all other ground and surface water programs and issues.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in geology, engineering, natural resources management, water resources management, environmental sciences, agriculture or graduate work in any of the previously mentioned disciplines, plus a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in water resource management, conservation, or any related field.

  • Certification as a water well monitoring technician

  • Physical ability to lift 20 pounds

  • Valid driver’s license required
